Support – Elke Rep Telt
Support – Every Rep Counts
Every Rep Counts is a training log for strength training. You log your sets and the app tells you when to go heavier.
Email tnext@live.nl. Tell us which iPhone (and Apple Watch) you use and what happened; a screenshot helps. You'll usually hear back within a few days.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get started?
After opening the app, choose your weekly goal, language and unit. Then tap New workout and add exercises, or choose Generate with AI. Your workouts follow each other in the order you choose. Start the next one from Today.
When does the weight go up?
The app uses double progression: when every set reaches the top of the rep range (for example 3 × 12), the weight goes up next time. More reps than last time keeps the same weight. After three sessions without progress, the weight drops 10% and you build back up.
What does "How many more reps could you have done?" mean?
After each set you tap how many reps you had left (0 to 4+). If every set at the top of the range was very easy (3 or more left), the weight goes up faster. 1 to 3 left is ideal for muscle growth. Turn the question off in Settings → Ask reps left (gear on Today).
I entered the wrong starting weight
Tap the exercise in the workout to change its working weight. To test everything again, use the gauge button Do the strength test again on the workout.
My Apple Watch doesn't start along or doesn't measure heart rate
- Make sure the app is installed on your watch (Watch app on your iPhone → Available apps).
- Allow Health access: Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Every Rep Counts and turn on Workouts and heart rate.
- Watch not starting yet? Open the app on your watch and tap Start on your workout.
Can I train with just my Apple Watch?
Yes. Open the app on your iPhone once and your workouts appear on the watch. Start a workout there, tick off sets and change weight and reps. As soon as your iPhone is nearby, the workout shows up in your history with your new weights.
My workouts aren't on my new iPhone
The app keeps your data in your own iCloud. Check that you're signed in with the same Apple Account and that iCloud is on for the app (Settings → [your name] → iCloud). It can take a moment to sync.
I don't see the "Generate with AI" button
The AI uses Apple Intelligence on your iPhone itself. It needs an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. Without it you build your workouts yourself; everything else works as usual.
How do I switch between kg and lb, or the language?
Tap the gear on Today. Under App, choose the language (Automatic, Nederlands, English) and the unit. Your working weights are rounded to the new unit.
What is a deload week?
A lighter week to recover: half the sets at about 90% of your weight. Plan it in Settings → Deload week, or choose Deload this week when the app sees signs of fatigue.
How do I delete my data?
See the privacy policy: it explains how to delete your data on your device, in iCloud and in Health.
